Hi everyone! I can’t believe we’re here! Two years ago, I came up with a wild idea called Wild Pets and now that wild idea is very nearly a reality. It’s been a crazy busy week of press interviews (not to mention school!) preparing for launch day but I am so excited and looking forward to (hopefully) getting loads of applications. I’m really hoping that we’re going to find some amazing kids who are just as passionate about wildlife as me and Emily.
Last Sunday, Emily and I had great fun filming the launch video (though something tells me our mums didn’t - Emily and me kept laughing at each other and ruining the take). We were planning on filming it in the beautiful sunny garden, but no, a thunderstorm came out of nowhere so we all had to run inside.
On Thursday, we were interviewed by Patrick Barkham from the Guardian, by Zoom, and his article should be published very soon.
Less than 24 hours later (blimey, me and Emily really can’t stay apart for long), we were back together again, filming an interview for BBC Spotlight That is the picture above. By the way, don’t you love our t-shirts? They have an interesting shape, to say the least - Emily said that the only person who could fit in them would be a completely square person. So true, so true. Also, they have a funny little apron-y bit at the front. Maybe that could be for carrying mice or sawdust or millet.
Anyway, Wild Pets officially opens today, so if you want a beautiful square T-shirt and a pair of harvest mice, please apply now.
