Emily

Emily has been interested in conservation and the natural world since she was very young. Passionate about ornithology, she has thoroughly enjoyed helping at a local aviary and completing bird surveys which she used for her volunteering hours for the Duke of Edinburgh award. She also volunteers with winter tree planting, spring wild flower and pond planting and Sunday beach cleans at Saunton Sands.

Emily has a green Blue Peter badge for helping with local hedgehog rescues and is part of the local junior Rotary Club, raising funds for national and global causes.

Emily loves classical piano and has performed with the Bath Philharmonic Orchestra and at many local events.

Emily and Eva met at high school and soon became close friends, sharing interests most people ignore. With that friendship came the mice soon taking over Emily’s bedroom and eventually her garage too.

“Even if we start with a small idea hopefully people will be inspired to help the environment. It’s about changing the way we treat the planet, to safeguard the future of nature.”
