Hugh Warwick is an ecologist, author and passionate wildlife advocate, best known for his lifelong love of hedgehogs. He has spent 40 years studying and championing these much-loved mammals and is a spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
Hugh has written extensively about British wildlife and our relationship with the natural world. His books include A Prickly Affair, all about hedgehogs; Linescapes, which explores the importance of reconnecting fragmented habitats for wildlife, and the award winning Cull of the Wild which looks at the ethics of killing for conservation.
Hugh is also an experienced speaker and educator, inspiring people of all ages to connect with and protect the wildlife around them. We are delighted to have Hugh supporting Wild Pets and our mission to give young people the skills, knowledge and opportunity to take an active role in British wildlife recovery.
